Wild Wood Country Club - Rush, NY

It’s always a little weird meeting the couple for the first time on their wedding day. I should be used to it by now. I never know what to expect. I admit, I have to do a little bit of social media investigating so I at least know what the bride and groom look like, haha! 

The bride and groom, as per usual (for me at least), were awesome, easy to work with and fun! The happy couple and entire wedding party were a light hearted and energetic bunch always looking to get a laugh out of each other. I’m a goofy guy myself, so having funny and sometimes over the top (I’m looking at you, groomsmen) wedding parties make my job all the more enjoyable. This was definitely a group out to have fun on a day that is supposed to be fun!     

I’ve done weddings at Wild Wood Country Club before and the least I can say is that it has an incredible staff of hard working people. We went out on the golf course in a battalion of carts for pictures, and we were led to the best locations by one of the staff members. I wish I could remember her name because she definitely deserves a shoutout! 

Management is just as kind and hard working as the employees at the club. They are great at taking care of the guests and vendors, and let me tell you — that does not go unnoticed. Most of the time, us vendors get stuffed in a closet for dinner and are served dead last just before we have to get back out to the reception. At Wild Wood, it’s easy to tell they know what goes into documenting a wedding and how important it is for us to be ready for when the festivities get underway after and sometimes even during dinner.

All in all, for a short 6 hour day, we made a lot out of the time. I think I’m going to write a blog on how to decide on how many hours to book your photographer if anyone is interested. Even if you’re not, I’m still gonna write it :p
