Becker Farms - Gasport, NY

Updated: Feb 28, 2020

This was my first time working at Becker Farms. I loved everything about this place — the vineyard, the tall grass swaying in the field, the rustic interiors, the ceremony space . . . the list can go on.

I got to photograph this couple back in October (maybe November?) of last year. They were so easy to work with and down to earth I forgot that was my first time meeting them in person. I get so lucky that all of my couples are a treat to work with! I try to work with as many of my couples before their wedding day as I can. It’s the perfect way to get to know my couples a little more and get comfortable working with each other. I’ll probably write a blog on engagement sessions in the future.

Becker farms is a great place for mid-sized weddings. The outdoor ceremony area fits a number of guests comfortably with some extra space for standing room for those that show up a little late. It’s perfect for the not too big but not too small weddings.

Rustic weddings are all the craze and they have been for the past few years. Becker Farms doesn’t hold any punches in that area. I find the little details make for a greater experience. The wine barrels, weather worn crates, the barn adorned with various farming tools and the like, and the ballroom clad in wood from floor to ceiling is a constant reminder that you’re at the real deal, that is, rustic incarnate.

Let’s talk a little more about this wedding day. Elvis made an appearance. Yep. I guess he’s not dead. That’s kinda interesting. The brother of the groom nailed his Elvis impersonation with everything from the outfit to the dance moves. I would hire that dude if I needed a little more Elvis in my life. Everytime I look at these pictures the lyrics of “A Little Less Conversation” starts playing in my head again.

This was a wedding I was looking forward to for sometime and it did not disappoint. Every major and minor moment was priceless and I’m so grateful I got to document it. Not enough words can be said. Thank you to the newly weds for trusting in me!

List of vendors to come...
